The 2018 GLF-CEM meeting was hosted on 17 and 18 May at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. The logistic support for the event was provided by the administrative staff of the Department of Civil Engineering and by post graduate students from the Chair in Construction Engineering and Management. I would like to express my appreciation for their support and for the way in which they made sure that proceedings progressed smoothly. The GLF-CEM Executive Committee played an important part in supporting the program with their advice, guidance and participation as sessions chairs and presenters.
